VIVE LA GASTRONOMIE WITH CHEF OSHIMA

On Thursday July 7^th, Friday July 8^th, and Saturday July 9^th, Chef Akira Oshima created an exceptional culinary experience together with our own Executive Chef René Klop at our Sunset Deck Restaurant.

Akira Oshima, former Executive Chef of Japanese restaurant Yamazato at Hotel Okura in Amsterdam up to 2012, is the only Japanese chef who has been awarded with a Michelin star. Akira notably received the Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau in recognition of successfully introducing authentic Japanese cuisine in the Netherlands. His kitchen distinguishes itself from an ordinary Japanese sushi kitchen through its originality and authenticity. Japanese Restaurant Oshima opened on 25th October 2019 in Amsterdam.

It was an honor having Chef Oshima and his team: we enjoyed three unforgettable evenings of gastronomy for both guests and staff! We cannot wait for the 15^th edition of Vive La Gastronomie!

Festive Season 2021

We are looking back on a successful festive season celebrated with friends and family of Baoase!

During our festive season, we hosted different special nights at our sunset deck besides our restaurant a la carte menu, such as Italian Night and Fruits De Mer, for a lot of culinary diversity during the stay of our guests. Besides we organized special activities on-property during the day, making it unnecessary for guests to leave the resort! There was no need to worry about the little ones as we made sure we had activities for all ages, with for example a kids fitness session and crab race on January 1st. On the 25th of December we hosted a magical Christmas evening where our guests enjoyed a culinary dinner from a set menu and live music. Lastly, to celebrate the end of 2021 and beginning of 2022 together, we organized a spectacular New Year’s Eve event with a fine dining experience, fire show and fireworks, live music and a photo booth for the memories!

Baoase Crab Race 2022

To start 2022 off right, we hosted the annual crab race at our beach last January 1st. A big thanks to our guests! During this event we raised $10.000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities together.

Ronald McDonald House Charities Curacao strives to create, find and support local programs that directly improve the health and wellbeing of children and their families in Curacao. We are more than happy we were able to support this cause together with the help of our guests.

We are looking back at a very successful Vive La Gastronomie last 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th December!

During our 13^th edition of Vive La Gastronomie, our restaurant was graced with gastronomic greatness by executive chefs Chris Naylor (Vermeer*), Dennis Kuipers (Vinkeles*) and Baoase’s Executive Chef Rene Klop. During this culinary night, an exclusive dinner was served with amuses, 6 courses and wine pairing. We are looking forward to the next Vive La Gastronomie and new surprising dishes!
