On January 1st, we organized the annual Baoase Crab Race! Our guests joined the competition hoping their crab would be the first to cross the finish line. With the help of our guests we raised a total of 9120 USD for the Ronald McDonald House of Charities Curaçao.
The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities Curaçao Foundation (RMHC) is to create, find and support local programs that directly improve the health and wellbeing of children and their families.
They can accomplish this through one of their core programs, the Ronald McDonald Family Room and also through alliances with other non-profit organizations who share their mission. With the help of our guests we were able to raise an amazing amount for the Ronald McDonald House of Charities Curaçao.
Baoase is happy to contribute to this amazing cause!
Curaçao has reopened and we are thrilled to welcome back our friends and family from all over the world! The number of COVID-19 infections has remained limited and the spread of the virus is under control.
The Curaçao Tourist Board is working in close collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health, Environment and Nature, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Curaçao Civil Aviation Authority and government agencies to have a safe reopening. Guidelines have also been created and implemented in the tourism industry to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
We are honored to announce that Baoase has been put on The Cool List: The 10 Coolest Caribbean Hotels for 2021 from Caribbean Journal!
Caribbean Journal’s Cool List has always sought to inspire different kinds of getaways – to hotels with personality, with purpose. This year, they have also tried to focus on properties where you can really get away; hotels that, by their location, design and setting, are perfect for finding some space amid the new realities of travel.
This is what they had to say about Baoase which was placed at number two on the list:
“Baoase Luxury Resort, Curacao Curaçao may be best known for the urban, historic charm of Willemstad. But venture beyond the capital and you’ll discover this Dutch Caribbean island’s breezy, cosmopolitan personality that immediately intoxicates. And that’s precisely what you get at Baoase, a hidden gem among Caribbean luxury hotels, a boutique beach resort that’s somewhere between the Riviera and Bali — but oozes not with pretentiousness but with personality.”
A beautiful start of 2021: our Culinary Beach Restaurant has been rewarded with #12 of the 50 best Restaurants in the Caribbean, by Caribbean Journal!
“ The food by culinary star Rene Klop is a mix of French-International and Asian Fusion, and the setting on the Baoase resort’s private beach makes for a magical dining experience.”
