BAOASE JOINS DAILY MEAL PROGRAM CURAÇAO

In the current crisis conditions, the Daily Meal Program (DMP) strives to provide the most vulnerable residents of Curaçao with healthy and nutritious meals.

DMP is an initiative from hospitality supplier Berry Wouters (Deli Nova). Together with Avila Hotel and Bijblauw, he started last April 27th with preparing meals for people who need it most at this moment. Last week, we joined the three hospitality companies preparing 480 meals per week at Baoase Culinary Beach Restaurant. The meals are taken to different distribution centers with the delivery trucks from DeliNova. We are honored to be part of this project.

AAA Inspector’s Best of Housekeeping 2020

We are more than proud to announce that we have been designated a AAA ‘Best of Housekeeping’ property for 2020. After measuring Baoase Luxury Resort during inspectors’ comprehensive on-site inspections, they complemented us with: ‘your property’s housekeeping significantly has surpassed expectations’ . AAA’s Inspector’s Best of Housekeeping award recognizes AAA Inspected & Approved hotels that receive the highest possible cleanliness and condition scores. Winning this annual award for the second time is highly appreciated by the entire Team of Baaoase, especially when considering the essential role of hygiene in the world today. Good hygiene leads to better health, and at Baoase the health and wellbeing of our guests and employees are considered top priority.

Fundraising Dinner Fundashon di Artista

The culinary masters of Curaçao came together to support Fundashon di Artista. Ten local companies combined their strengths and presented a 4-course dinner with wine pairing. In the idyllic setting aside the Cathedral of Thorns, 70 guests enjoyed a culinary experience to raise money for the completion of the cathedral.

 

The building-sized illuminated labyrinth is a remarkable work of art of award-winning artist Herman van Bergen. The cathedral is made of sumpiña’s, the thorns of the acacia tortuoso. Van Bergen recognized the light shining through the thorns as a sign of human enlightenment and enhanced this by incorporating light within his works. Especially at the sunrise and sunset, the orbs of light create a spectacular ambience.

 

The fundraising dinner was beyond successful and an exceptional amount of 41.000 nafl was raised (13.500 nafl with the dinner – 27.500 nafl with the auction. All proceeds go to Fundashon di Artista.

VIVE LA GASTRONOMIE WITH ONNO KOKMEIJER, DENNIS KUIPERS AND CHRIS NAYLOR

On Thursday November 28th , Friday November 29th and Saturday November 30th, Dennis Kuipers (Vinkeles*), Onno Kokmeijer (Ciel Bleu**) and Chris Naylor (Vermeer*) created an exceptional culinary experience, together with Baoase executive chef René Klop.

Vive la Gastronomie November 2019

After the successful Vive la Gastronomie edition in 2018 with Dennis Kuipers (Vinkeles*)  and Onno Kokmeijer (Ciel Bleu**)  they will return, together with new culinary companion, Chris Naylor (Vermeer*).

Baoase Luxury Resort and its chef René Klop will be joined by these three executive chefs for the returning event on the 28th, 29th and 30th of November.  

On Thursday, the 28th of November and Friday, the 29th of November, the evening will start at 7:00 PM. There will be live music upon arrival and during dinner you can enjoy our relaxing music.

At the Master Villa, the evening begins with several amuses. The chefs will then prepare seven unique courses – including amuses, wine pairing and water – for $250 per person. This two-night only culinary companionship can be enjoyed by 25 diners per evening.

On Saturday November 30th, the event starts at 5:30 PM which means you can enjoy the beautiful sunset in a relaxed setting. During this evening our exceptional saxophonist will be playing.

On Baby Beach, the chefs will prepare eight unique courses – for $135 per person. This is excluded wines. You can choose your wine at the table. This culinary companionship can be enjoyed by 40 diners.

Holland’s Top Chef, 3 Michelin Star Jonnie Boer was the guest Chef of Baoase Culinary Beach Restaurant on Saturday the August 2nd 2016. Jonnie Boer cooked, together with the Baoase team, an exceptional culinary 6-course menu with an assortiment of great carefully selected wines.  Presented and served by the Sommelier and hostess of the evening, his wife Thérèse Boer.

VIVE LA GASTRONOMIE: SIDNEY SCHUTTE

After previous events with Jonnie Boer, Akira Oshima, Dennis Kuipers and Onno Kokmeijer, the culinary event Vive la Gastronomie returns to Baoase.

On August 2rd and 3rd, chef Sidney Schutte (Spectrum**) finds his way to our hidden lagoon. Together with Baoase-chef René Klop, the culinary companions will celebrate exceptional dishes and wines in an exclusive 7-course dinner.

Only those who are decisive will be able to enjoy Vive la Gastronomie, where availability is highly limited with a maximum of 30 guests per night. So, be sure to make a reservation on time.

A 7-course dinner with champagne, wine pairing, water, and several amuses comes at a price of $250 per person.
