Baoase Named Among the World’s Best Hotels in the 2026 Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards

Baoase has been named one of the World’s Best Hotels in the 2026 Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards, earning the #35 position on the prestigious list of the 100 Best Hotels in the World. The resort was also ranked top 10 among the Best Resorts in the Caribbean, further reinforcing its place among the region’s leading luxury destinations.

One of Travel’s Most Prestigious Recognitions

Every year, the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards celebrate the hotels, resorts, destinations, and travel experiences that leave a lasting impression on travelers around the world. Determined entirely by reader votes, the awards are among the hospitality industry’s most respected recognitions, highlighting properties that consistently deliver exceptional service, memorable experiences, and a true sense of place.

Being named among the 100 Best Hotels in the World places Baoase alongside some of the world’s most renowned luxury hotels and reflects the experiences shared by guests who have visited our private corner of paradise in Curaçao.

A Philosophy Built on Genuine Hospitality

For Baoase, this recognition is especially meaningful. As an independent, family-owned resort, our philosophy has always been simple: create deeply personal experiences where every guest feels genuinely welcomed, every detail is thoughtfully considered, and every stay becomes a cherished memory.

Nestled along Curaçao’s turquoise coastline, Baoase combines Balinese-inspired architecture with Caribbean warmth, offering an intimate retreat defined by privacy, tranquility, award-winning dining, and highly personalized service.

A Reflection of Our Dedicated Team

Recognition of this nature is only possible because of the people behind every guest experience.

“We are incredibly honored to receive this recognition from the readers of Travel + Leisure,” says Managing Director Thijs van der Valk. “Knowing that these awards are based on the experiences of our guests makes this achievement especially meaningful. It is a reflection of the passion and dedication of our entire team, who strive every day to create exceptional moments for everyone who stays with us.” Every smile, every thoughtful gesture, and every carefully curated experience contributes to what makes Baoase so special.

Proudly Representing Curaçao

This recognition is also a proud moment for Curaçao. As travelers continue to discover the island’s natural beauty, vibrant culture, and welcoming spirit, Baoase is honored to represent the destination among the world’s most celebrated hotels.

While awards are a wonderful milestone, what inspires us most is the opportunity to create meaningful experiences that guests carry with them long after they return home.
