Curacao is a Dutch Caribbean island just off the northern coast of Venezuela which is one of Caribbean’s best kept secrets. Known for its beautiful sandy beaches, picturesque coves and colorful coral reefs that teem with marine life, it is a sister island of Aruba (a popular Caribbean destination of its own) and Bonaire. Together, the three islands are often referred to as the ABC islands.

With the past year being so busy for us, we were looking to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary in a special way. Not only were we looking for a romantic setting but we wanted something secluded so that we could really unwind and be able to focus on one another. We also wanted something tropical where we could be guaranteed little rain and lots of sunshine.

Curacaowas our chosen anniversary destination and our choice for accommodations was the Baoase Luxury Resort. The Baoase Luxury Resort offered perfection. It was a place that was calm and peaceful. It offered everything you could want for a romantic luxurious getaway.
