Take a Tuk Tuk tour of the island
If you are looking for a great first-day activity to familiarise yourself with Curaçao, a Tuk Tuk tour is it. A Tuk Tuk is a three-wheeled motorised vehicle that is commonly used as a taxi. What makes Tuk Tuks perfect for touring Curaçao is that they are cheap, slow, and unlike normal taxis and buses, which makes you feel like you are closer to the sites and environment. Plus, they are great for parents who want to tour every part of the island without spending too much.

Generally speaking, Tuk Tuks can comfortably seat five people but if you are travelling with a baby, you will need to bring the required car seat. Keep in mind that some Tuk Tuk drivers may not allow babies that are too young. Most Tuk Tuk drivers in Curaçao are multilingual and can teach you and your kids a lot about the history and culture of the island. If your kids are hungry, they can also take you to some of the best spots to eat, shop, and explore as a family. If you get there before 10 am, you can go up the 372 metre-high mountain, which is an experience your kids will never forget.
